WALKaSOCKathon
As an organization that emphasizes service within the community, the NHS participated in the school's yearly event, the WALKaSOCKathon. In preparation for this grand event, the elementary school students saved about 541.7 kg of coins. These coins will be used to help two children from Uganda gain access to clean water at a closer distance from their home. Further information about this event can be found on the following link: https://www.yisseoul.org/news/community/walkasockathon-raises-money-for-clean-water?utm_source=YISS+Master+List&utm_campaign=ad70127ebe-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_SEPT_2017&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_84e357cb89-ad70127ebe-20216381
NHS members gathered at the Auditorium and were assigned to different elementary classes. Afterwards, they helped guide the elementary school students up a hill near the school. Through this service opportunity, members were able to experience a meaningful, charitable walk that gives to others in need.
